Wood Pellets
Biomass, particularly wood pellets, is part of the climate change solution as we transition away from fossil fuels. The energy industry isincreasingly using wood pellets to replace fossil fuels to substantially lower GHG emissions.
Wood Pellet is a type of alternative fuel to replace coal that is more environmentally friendly (Bio Energy). Wood pellet is a solid fuelthat is produced by crushing and densifying waste timber like sawdust, forestry residues, industrial byproducts like old paper and forestrywastes. As a fuel derived from wood, wood pellet is a fuel that can be renewed in a relatively short time without to worry that the need of theenergy source will run out after being used continuously and for a long time.

Wood Pellet produced usually from hardwood such as calliandra or wood waste which is then processed into powder with a length of 1to 3 cm and a diameter of about 6 to 8 mm. Each grain of wood pellet is a solid cylinder. The density is around 650 kg/m3 or 1.5 m3/ton.
Wood Pellet is very much needed in countries that experience winter, such as Korea, Japan, China and various countries in the European continentas heating fuel and used in the production process.
